Shun (Gu. ex- Vidoll) retiring from music

According to his official blog Shun is retiring from the music scene for now. Apparently he didn't get over Vidoll's disbanding like the other members.

We wish you well on your future and hope to see you again on stage someday.

AKB48 announces first single for 2012

Popular idol group AKB48 has announced that they’ll be releasing a new single on February 15th!

AKB48’s 25th single is currently untitled, but it’s said to be a ‘sakura‘ song with a graduation theme. AKB48 is known for releasing a sakura song each year around this time. Previous singles include “Sakura no Hanabiratachi 2008” (2008), “10nen Zakura” (2009), “Sakura no Shiori” (2010), and “Sakura no Ki ni Narou” (2011).

The single will come in 4 different versions: a Limited Quantity Type A & B, and a Regular Type A & B. Each version will come with both a CD and a DVD containing three new songs and three music videos. The limited quantity editions will come with a participation ticket to AKB48’s handshake event.

The countdown on their HP is finally over and judging by their promotion video for their new Album, this seems to be one really interesting release for 2012!
It will be released on March 14th. There aren't more details at the moment.

Ayabie and -OZ- at A-Kon.

A-Kon a convention taking place at Dalla, Texas of the dates of June 1-3 2012. This extreme convention has hosted D last year and now has invited -OZ- and Ayabie to perform at their convention this year. A-Kon has also posted that Ayabie would be the main act on Friday night, whereas -OZ- would perform before Ayabie on the same day though the time of their performance is unknown. More information on -OZ- performance time and for other specifics would be posted once revealed.

(Trinity: Oh! I am so jealous to those who are attending the convention, I would love to go see -OZ- and Ayabie!)
